Whatssup....?

I know. I know. It has been weeks since I last logged on. My apologies. But, I have a really good excuse. Really I do. Too long for one post so I will simply get down to the nitty gritty. Here is what what I have been up to...

Feb. 5th, 8th -10th, 13th - 16th I was an extra for the Kevin Spacey/Laurence Fishburne movie "Blackjack" as an extra.

Feb. 19th - 23rd - Classes to renew my Realtor's license (zzzzzzzzz)

March 8th - NBC Wedding Crashers (1 of 4 extras!) airing in June.

March 15th - Ultimate Fighting Championship Promo (extra) airing in England this summer  (I guess I am international now...)

March 21st - 26th Jo Ellen, David and the boys were visiting.

March 22nd - Bunco

April 1st - Las Vegas Gladiator Arena Football Game @ The Orleans

March 31st - April 7th - Our good friends the Kaufmans visited us from Florida

April 8th - Easter Sunday! Easter Egg Hunt & Gladiator Arena Football Game

April 2nd - Commercial for the Harris Teeter chain with Lance Burton (LV magician) and a chimp named Jake.

April 3rd - 6th -The Kaufmans, Mark, Michael and I went to Brianhead Utah to go skiing. (see photos)

April 6th - The Kaufmans, Rob and I went to see LOVE at the Mirage and then out for Brazilian food. (P.S. Great show!)

April 10th & 11th - The Sopranos...the very last episode. Airs June 10th on HBO. (and yes...James Gadolifini was there and NO I do not know if he "gets it" in Vegas)

Whew...! Throw in some acting classes/workshops, auditions, school, and  work and you are caught up ~ for now.

It Happened This Week...

September 10th - 17th

1892: 

The 1st version of The Pledge of Allegiance appeared in The Youth's Companion, a family magazine. Written by Francis Bellamy to commemorate the 400th anniversary of Columbus' landing in the new world.

1930:

Scotch Tape was invented by Richard Drew. It was intended for sealing wrapped foods.

And

The comic strip Blondie appeared. Blondie Boopadoop was a flapper who fell in love with Dagwood Bumstead, a millionaire's son. Dagwood's parents threatened to disown him - but he married Blondie anyway!

1935: 

19 yr. old Frank Sinatra was in a group called The Hoboken Four, they won a competition on WOR radio - his big break.

1960:

Mickey Mantle hit the longest measured home run - 634 feet.

1990: 

Ellis Island Museum of Immigration opened its doors.
